Borland Database Engine is a professional-level programming tool for Windows Computers.
Sometimes, you just need professional tools. If you're into C++ programming, you simply need the Borland Database Engine. The name's well known in programming circles and it's the perfect tool for working with databases. There's nothing fun or sexy here, but there's a lot you can use to get real work done. This is a workhorse of a computer program, and one you may well need to accomplish professional-grade C++ programming work.
The downside to all of this power is that you have to know how to use it. There's no hand-holding at all here - there's not even a graphical user interface. This is old-school, all command line, all the way. That's fine if you're a professional, but it's going to be scary even if you're a gifted hobbyist. Think of this is as the program that you graduate to, not the program you start out with. Even then, it's going to take some time to get used to a program that's just this user-unfriendly.
This is a programmer's tool, pure and simple. There's nothing flashy or fun here, and novices need not apply. If you do know what you're doing, though, the biggest surprise might be that you're not already using this tool. The Borland Database Engine is a tool that all programmers need to know about, even if they don't use it regularly. If you actually understand C++ to use it well enough, you'll get a lot of mileage out of this program. Just make sure you know what you're doing before you start it up - if you don't, you'll be quickly overwhelmed.
